Make Up and Outfit of the Day!

I am not sure whether I have mentioned this in my previous few blog posts, but… IT’S NEARLY AUTUMN!!! Yippee! As someone who is always so, so hot, I love when the weather is cooling down but the sun is still out. I donned an autumnal makeup/ outfit combo. Here is it!

To start of with, I used the Lush lip scrub in Mint Julips to exfoliate my lips, and then coated them in EOS’s Sweet Mint lip balm. This was because I knew I wanted to wear a dark shade of lip.

Nothing new here, I threw on my Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in Light Vanilla. It’s a nice, light foundation to throw on and is easy to work with. I forgot to photograph, but I also used my favourite Soap and Glory Brow Archery pencil in Brownie Points on my eyebrows.

I decided to use Sleek’s Rose Gold blush on my cheeks to add a little shine. It has little gold specs in the blush, which adds a beautiful sheen to the cheeks. Was this enough glow?! No it was not! I then used the Make up Revolution Highlighter in Peach Lights on the tops of my cheeks. Unfortunately, all of my glowy goodness did not photograph well! I then powdered my face with the Bourjois Healthy Mix powder in Vanilla.

I wanted to keep this look relatively simple, so I just used the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr (Review here!)Β in On and On Bronze on my lids, and also brought it underneath my eye. These pots of wonder are brilliant, and I would highly recommend them, especially for the price. I coated my lashes, numerous times, in the Benefit They’re Real mascara. Literally, that is is!!

Finally, for the lips. I lined them with a clear lip liner by MUA, which stops them bleeding out. I then used MAC’s Rebel. I haven’t worn this shade out yet, but was super happy with the result. It’s a gorgeous deep raspberry colour, and lasted all night long and through a meal, with only one re-application.

And here’s the finished look!!

Now, onto the outfit, I kept it very simple. I popped on a burgundy flowered dress, with crocheted detailing around the neck line and hem. It’s netted at the bottom and it super comfortable to wear. I think this was from New Look last year, but they do have other styles like this still in store (I know, because I buy them!). I paired this will a simple black cardigan, some black tights and some heeled boots. The boots are from Dorothy Perkins. They have a thick, sturdy heel which makes them super easy to walk in, and have a double gold zip detailing on the outside of them.

And that’s everything!!

Happy Sunday, Signing Off!
